Deciembre!

God-willing, the next three weeks will involve lots of snow, five flights, a wonderful holiday with the family, a wedding in Colorado, a New Years concert celebration, side-trip to Austin & a wedding in Manhattan.

Before all that begins, figured I should throw some updates on the 'ol journal.  Here's what's been happening in my world...

+

Shooting :: Fun shoot with April Smith & the Great Picture Show, fashion lookbooks for NAVAR, book shoots for a professional magician & a few other random small gigs.  [ below: NAVAR + Great Picture Show ]

Charity Ball 2009 :: Amazing evening.  Not only did Charity:Water raise enough money to help their 1,000,000th person with clean water, they raised over $1 MILLION in one evening.  This organization continues to amaze me.  You should've seen Esther Haven's giant prints all over the place... great night.  www.charitywater.org

Help Portrait :: I'm sure many of you have heard by now, but last Saturday, over 8,300 photographers set up shop and shot free portraits for over 40,000 individuals in 42 countries.  Incredible day... so thankful for our little Brooklyn crew... many thanks to everyone for sacrificing their Saturday to serve some local Brooklynites.  Here's a shot of our team at the end of the day. www.help-portrait.com

Blogging :: I had an opportunity to serve as "Guest Blogger" over at Scott Kelby's website (www.scottkelby.com).  Scott and Brad were kind enough to let me scribble some thoughts, and the response was humbling and overwhelming.  To anyone I've yet to return an email... I promise I'm working on it and will be in touch soon!  If you care to read the post... see here.

Zines :: The first run of zines was printed and shipped out early this week!  Very happy with the final product... there are still some for sale, though Christmas delivery is not looking likely.  See previous post for info on the Zine and how you can get your hands on one.

That's it for now... Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Festivus & Happy New Year.
