Shot a little street video in Boston... illegally parked van/trailer, one camera, no planning, Boston subway, no microphones, 45 minutes. Managed to come up with something fun, and avoid a parking ticket!

Five Days with Green River Ordinance

Spent a week navigating the snowy Northeast with some old friends. GRO and Sleeperstar are both great bands, but what stood out to me wasn't the music as much as the quality of each person on this tour. It's refreshing when, the more you get to know somebody, the more respect you have for them. Such is the case with everyone on this little run. If you haven't checked these guys out, do so. It's nice to see good people do well. Thanks to the guys for having me tag along for a few days. Here are a few images from the week.

Haiti + Texas

I want to finally post a few more photos from the Texas trip I took back in November... but as I was editing the photos this week, I couldn't help but think of how trivial it all felt. This blog, these photo shoots, the zines, the self promotion... it's all so fleeting, really. In light of all that's happening in Haiti this week, tweeting about blog posts and new photos just didn't feel right... it still doesn't.

So before I get back to promoting me, I want to promote the work and vision of one of my dear friends Esther Havens. She flew down to Port au Prince a few days after the earthquake, joining hundreds of photographers already on the ground. Just like most of you, I'd been pretty in tune with the news coverage... the images are horrifying... the bodies... so many bodies. It's been refreshing to see Esther's side of the story... it's less doom, gloom and destruction, and more hope, redemption & renewal. Even a shot of fallen concrete, somehow hopefull with light shining from the rubble.

So just a quick shout out to one of my most talented, humble & noble friends... Follow her blog for stories over the next few weeks.

The Morning Of

Spent a day upstate with some friends in The Morning Of... they were filming some new acoustic videos for their upcoming album release... heard a few new tracks... certainly a different direction, which I'm excited to see... good things in store for these guys.
