In Texas for a few days and had a chance to sneak over to see one of my favorite bands play a set at Fair Park in Dallas... True to form, they were amazing.

Tuesday was officially the hottest NYC day in 10 years.

What better way to spend the day than in a giant, un-air-conditioned printing press in Queens?!

More details on the process behind this thing, but I'm super thrilled to have a final product in hand.

This is a 28-page, tabloid sized newsprint piece I've been working on the past few weeks.

It's a combination of imagery and design centered around music, sports and friends.

It's the second Zine put out under the "I've Got Friends" moniker, and I can't wait to get one in your hands.

Unfortunately I'm off for a couple weeks of traveling & shooting, so these won't be hitting the mail for a bit.

Loved the progression of these "throw-aways" though, and wanted to share before the next journey begins.

Several times this week, I've been reprimanded for my lack of recent blog updates... oops.

What appeared to be a very slow start to the summer has turned into a very busy month, which is a great problem to have. I've been shooting quite a bit lately... some editorial for a local paper, some polaroids for Corbis, some non-profit openings & a few fun music shoots.

Hustle Hustle Hustle... seems to be the name of the game in this business, especially this day in age. Still learning to balance the high of a good shoot with the inevitable "on to the next one" mentality that follows. Constant scheming, constant learning, constant pushing, constant hustling.

I have a couple images in a gallery show in Williamsburg Thursday night... swing by if you're in the 'hood. Here's the facebook event page. Also working away on a new promo zine that I'm really excited about... if all goes according to plan, I should have many to pass around. More on that in a week or two.

Last year I had the pleasure of meeting Ernest Sabine, a NYC-based designer of men's bags, belts, ties & more. We've been able to collaborate on a few projects, ranging from product shots to video profiles. His products are all designed & manufactured locally in New York City, and it's really great.

We shot a few stills during our video shoot in January... and I just got around to picking up the contact sheets yesterday. Since my wonderful HP printer/scanner is taking another day off, I just used the old fashioned camera-scanner.
